WELCOME TO THE 2012 STRICTLY SAIL PACIFIC BOAT SHOW – A FOUR-DAY SAILING EXTRAVAGANZA!

On behalf of the Strictly Sail Pacific Show Team, the Sail America Board of Directors and our many exhibitors, welcome to the only all-sail boat show on the West Coast!

I’m pleased to announce that this year’s show will be bigger, better and more fun than ever. See the latest sailboats, gear, hardware and accessories, and get the best deals on thousands of products. Check out the new exhibit hall with two floors filled with everything that is hot in the world of sailing.

With four days of FREE seminars, Strictly Sail Pacific is the place to learn from the experts on a host of topics from long-distance cruising and storm strategies to rigging and communications. And don't forget to stop by the ‘Authors Corner’ to find the latest nautical books and meet the pros.

New for 2012, Strictly Sail Pacific is excited to be the official stopover and headquarters for the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race. The fleet of 10 identical stripped down 68-foot racing yachts will bring the excitement of ocean racing to the Show! Showgoers are invited to board a Clipper Race Yacht, talk to crew members, and take part in the official sendoff celebrations on Saturday, April 14 when the fleet will depart for New York. Don't miss the awards ceremony on Thursday, April 12, at 6 p.m. when the winning team of Leg 6 will be presented the “Strictly Sail Pacific Clipper Cup.”

Get in on the 2013 America’s Cup action. Watch streaming coverage of the America’s Cup World Series racing from Naples, Italy in the AC Lounge, and get the latest news direct from the America’s Cup Event Authority on plans for the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco.

If you're new to sailing, sign up for a FREE sailboat ride at Discover Sailing, or bring the kids for their own sailing experience onboard the Schooner Seaward.

Are you ready to party? Friday night kicks into high gear with the popular “TGIF” exhibitor parties, including Latitude 38’s annual Baja Ha-Ha and Pacific Puddle Jump Reunion, and a Circumnavigators Gathering. Celebrate the cruising lifestyle on Saturday night at the legendary Latitudes & Attitudes Cruisers Bash, featuring live music and free food.

One thing is for certain … if you’re into sailing or have any interest in the sailing lifestyle, Jack London Square is THE place to be April 12–15, 2012. Come with friends or bring the family!

I hope to see YOU there.

Fair winds,
