Genny Tullock grew up sailing dinghies and competing at the highest level nationally and internationally. While at Harvard Genny was named the Female Collegiate Sailor of the Year and was a three time All–American female skipper. In 2007 she was chosen as a member of Morning Light, the basis foGenny grew up sailing dinghies at the Houston Yacht Club. She qualified for the Youth Worlds in the Laser Radial and 420 and the ISAF Worlds in the 470 before heading off to college. As a Harvard sophomore, she was the Quantum Collegiate Female Sailor of the Year. In 2007 she was chosen as a member of Morning Light, the basis for the Disney documentary feature film, and competed in the Transpac Race from Long Beach to Hawaii. Since then, her sailing highlights include winning Key West Race Week as a crew on the Melges 32 Star and leading Ragtime as a watch-captain and helmsman to win overall in the Tahiti Race last summer and a divisional win in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race over the New Year. Genny’s energies are currently focused on a campaign for the 2012 Olympic Games. She’s currently ranked 12th as the women’s match racing skipper on the US Sailing Team Alphagraphics.r the Disney documentary feature film, and competed in the legendary Transpac Race from Long Beach to Hawaii.
