Rig Your Boat For the hands-on-inclined sailor, here is a class in the fundamentals of rigging, from calculating loads to selecting appropriate hardware to performing basic installation tasks. You may not be able to walk out of the seminar and start rigging, but you will have a good idea of the crucial considerations and skills needed to produce a seaworthy rig. Bonus material: Brion will be discussing the benefits of Colligo Marine's all- Spectra standing rigging, "Dynex Dux". This remarkable material weighs a fraction of what steel rigging does, but is comparably priced to steel, unlike other forms of "high-modulus" standing rigging.
