Ken is a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and a Federally licensed navigator. He is the founder of Celestaire, Inc., the largest sextant seller in the world. Ken has been presenting basic and advanced celestial navigation seminars at most major sailboat shows since the first Sail Expo in 1993. His seminars are not only effective, but entertaining as well. Each attendee will be given a set of notes from the seminar which will be very useful for review. |

This seminar (which should follow the Basic seminar, but does not require it) completes an overview of celestial navigation. It not only introduces a variety of plotting methods, but reinforces basic concepts. A discussion of navigation without having normal tools available further illustrates how "it all fits together". The attendee will be able to begin taking sextant sights and to plot them with little or no further training. A seminar review handout will be made available. |
