Speaker Bio: Kame Richards is a sailmaker and sail designer at Pineapple Sails which he co-founded in 1973. Pineapple Sails makes both racing and cruising sails, building them from start to finish at its facility in Alameda, CA. Kame's racing experience covers San Francisco Bay, the California Coast, 9 Hawaii races, 8 Mexico races, as well as races in the Great Lakes, Florida, Texas and Europe. He has cruised in Mexico, New Zealand and Australia. He has a well established reputation as a lecturer on all aspects of sailing. Kame attended the University of California at Berkeley, majoring in Geophysics.
