About the Show
Welcome to the Strictly Sail Pacific Boat Show. The ONLY all-sail show on the West Coast.
Strictly Sail Pacific returns to its former exclusive sail-only format at the newly renovated Jack London Square, Oakland, CA from April 15 – 18, 2010. The show features an enhanced layout, more convenient parking, indoor exhibit space, and numerous attractions and special features.
The Bay Area is one of the nation’s most active sailing markets and the show location on the waterfront sets the mood for sailing. For 2010, the show shifts to a new four-day format. Another key change includes moving the majority of the booth exhibitors to a 30,000 square foot indoor facility – site of the former Barnes & Noble bookstore – which will accommodate approximately 150 booths. The new “Exhibitor Hall” situated in the heart of Jack London Square, offers convenient underground parking, excellent facilities and – rain or shine – a climate-controlled environment. The new layout will improve traffic flow and provide maximum convenience for attendees.
Also new for 2010 is the addition of premium pre-owned boats in the in-water section of the show which is designed to enhance the show by providing attendees with a wider selection of boats to see. The small boat section will also be expanded to include affordable dinghies, trailerable boats and one-design classes.
Sailors of all ages and abilities will find Strictly Sail Pacific “the sailing event” of the year. This year's activities include a full schedule of seminars from the most renowned sailors in the world, live music, the popular Latitudes & Attitudes Cruisers’ Bash, local regattas, youth activities, and daily prizes. Jack London Square, located on Oakland’s waterfront, offers restaurants, hotels and attractions for all the family. Whether you come for the day or for the entire show, Strictly Sail Pacific promises to deliver an experience that will get you ready for the upcoming sailing season.
The festivities begin Thursday, April 15th and will not end until the final bell sounds on Sunday, April 18th. This four-day sailing extravaganza features the latest and greatest the sailing industry has to offer. You’ll see the latest boat designs, the newest sailing gear, and the widest selection of accessories and hardware from the industries top suppliers.
Strictly Sail shows have become a resource for learning and fun, putting ‘edutainment’ at the forefront of the planning. Every Strictly Sail Show has added more interactive exhibits and more hands on seminars providing an opportunity for new sailors to learn about sailing and for the more experienced sailor to improve their skills and become more confident at the helm.
