SEE THE CLIPPER 11-12 ROUND THE WORLD RACE FLEET
Celebrate the official California stopover of the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race, the world’s longest ocean race, at Strictly Sail Pacific. After departing Qingdao, China and conquering the mighty Pacific Ocean, the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Race fleet of 10, 68-foot sailing yachts will be on display at Strictly Sail Pacific. Show attendees will have the opportunity to board a Clipper Race Yacht; talk to crew members about what it is like to spend a year sailing more than 40,000 miles around the world; and take part in the official sendoff celebrations on Saturday, April 14. Discover Sailing on water learning opportunities
Show goers will once again have the opportunity to sharpen up existing sailing skills and learn new ones by participating in one or more hands on learning events created exclusively for the 2012 Boat Show. Participants will learn basic and intermediate skills through hands on exercises conducted by ASA Certified Instructors aboard 27’ to 43’ sailboats.

TOUR THE ICONIC LOST SOUL
Tour the ‘Lost Soul’, the iconic vessel that launched Latitudes & Attitudes Magazine and TV Show. A highly-customized Formosa 56, the Lost Soul took Bob and Jody around the world for 10 years and 100,000 miles. She'll be available for public tours on the Strictly Sail Pacific docks Saturday and Sunday, April 14 and 15. FRIDAY IS VIP DAY AT STRICTLY SAIL PACIFIC
VIP showgoers get the red-carpet treatment on Friday, April 13 with an after-hours VIP party on the USS Potomac (featuring wine tasting from the Napa Valley Wine Region and food samplings from local restaurants), entry to the America's Cup Lounge and exclusive boat viewings. Stop by the Author’s Corner and pick up a great new read from your favorite sailing author. Chat with the experts, receive some great advice for your next sailing trip, get a signed book, and hear a tale or two about any number of sailing topics and adventures. Open during boat show hours.
FREE CLASSES FOR KIDS ON THE SCHOONER SEAWARD
Free half-hour dockside classes are available onboard the schooner Seaward each day of the show, and up to 40 kids can go for a complimentary sail from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday! Sign up early because spaces will be allocated on a first-come- first-served basis. SMALL BOAT ZONE
This year’s ‘Small Boat Zone’ features a mix of one-design classes, class associations, active fleets and Yacht Clubs. Learn how sailing can be inclusive, affordable, and seriously fun by chatting with local sailors who are happy to share how you can get involved in Bay Area sailing!
