Stan Honey - Fastest Nonstop Circumnavigation of the World Under Sail

Hear from celebrated racer Stan Honey who recently navigated Groupama 3, a French 105-foot trimaran, on a record-setting voyage in which the team set the record for the fastest unlimited, nonstop circumnavigation of the world in 48 days, 8 hours. In this invigorating presentation, Stan will describe the boat, the team, the navigation/routing process, and the experience, including a video clip from the trip. He is on the board of directors of US SAILING and is also a former member of Morning Light.

Lee Chesneau – Marine Weather Level 1 Course

Senior Marine Meteorologist formerly with NOAA/NWS’s Ocean Prediction Center Lee Chesneau presents Marine Weather Level 1 Course, an extended two-day Marine Meteorology Weather Course to teach mariners self-reliance in understanding High Frequency (HF) Single Side Band (SSB) radio-facsimile weather charts and predicting marine weather.

Master voyagers and popular presenters John and Amanda Neal will host numerous FREE seminars including Galley Essentials, Sailing to Europe and the Med in a Summer, South Pacific Cruising from San Francisco to New Zealand, and more! They also are running their popular Mahina Expeditions Offshore Cruising Seminar, an intensive, exciting and interactive 10-hour seminar that provides the knowledge and tools for offshore sailing, based on John and Amanda Neal's combined 526,000 miles and 67 years of experience.

Genny Tulloch
Top ranked women’s match racing skipper on the US SAILING Team Alphagraphics, Harvard Female Collegiate Sailor of the Year and three-time All American female skipper, Genny Tulloch grew up sailing dinghies and competing at the highest level nationally and internationally. She engages sailors on the Racing Rules of Sailing and brings great explanations and visual aids to help you improve your own performance. Genny is a former member of the Morning Light team. She’s currently on a campaign for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Bob Bitchin – Cruising the Big Blue Ball Called Earth
